Micro Computers
Computaitonal art installation
Micro Computers is an award-winning computational art installation that explores computation without computers. The computer in this case is a collaboration between a composite wood material and geometry. The family of pieces (micro computers) that comprise this 3D program consists of three main geometries with three variations each. The hook was used as an enabling tectonic to allow the family of micro computers to create creatures that emerged from this computational process. The creatures were able to adapt to exisiting space limitations and could be programmed to accelerate in growth, change dnsitity and change directions.
